Dell’Oro Group highlights the following key findings from its Broadband Access & Home Networking 5-Year Forecast report:
1. PON equipment revenue is expected to grow from US$9.3 billion ($13.3 billion) in 2021 to US$13.6 billion ($19.5 billion) in 2026, driven by XGS-PON deployments in North America, Europe and Middle East, and Caribbean and Latin America.
2. Revenue for fixed wireless CPE is expected to reach US$5.1 billion ($7.3 billion) by 2026, led by shipments of 5G sub-6GHz and 5G millimetre wave units.
3. Revenue for cable distributed access equipment (virtual CCAP, remote PHY devices, remote Macphy devices, and remote OLTs) is expected to reach nearly US$1.3 million ($1.8 million) by 2026, as operators ramp their Docsis 4.0 and fibre deployments.
