RANCHI: Congress party on Sunday suspended three MLAs--Irfan Ansari (Jamtara), Naman Bixel Kongari (Kolebira) and Rajesh Kachchap (Khijri) after they were caught with huge amount of cash by Howrah police last night based on a specific input.
Jharkhand affairs incharge Avinash Pande said, "The party has decided to suspend all three with immediate effect. We will not tolerate any anti-party activity."
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, he accused BJP of trying to topple governments in states where they are not in power. Pande said that even in Jharkhand too, BJP is rampantly trying to woo MLAs.
Earlier in the day, state party president Rajesh Thakur and Bermo MLA Kumar Jaimangal had lodged FIR against them here at Argora police station in Ranchi.
