Sanjay Arora appointed Delhi police commissioner

IPS officer Sanjay Arora has been appointed as the Delhi police commissioner
NEW DELHI: IPS officer Sanjay Arora has been appointed as the Delhi police commissioner. He is a 1988 batch officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre.
Current Delhi police commissioner, Rakesh Asthana retires on Sunday, July 31. It may be noted that Asthana, had got an extension.
Before being named as the commissioner, Arora was the DG of ITBP. Consequent upon his deputation to AGMUT cadre, SSB DG SL Thaosen shall now hold additional charge of the post of DG, ITBP.
Arora will take charge on Monday.
