Shares of DLF(up 3.61 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.46 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 2.21 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 2.07 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 1.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.14 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.07 per cent up at 446.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 287.8 points at 16929.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1041.47 points at 56857.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 ended in the green, while 11 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., , YES Bank, and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , Campus Activewear Ltd., Fidel ., and . hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Spicejet, and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
