Prayagraj: Authorities of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) would be filling up 7,686 vacant posts in various Central government offices through the Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGLE)-2021. Besides 3,024 unreserved seats, these include 897 posts reserved for economically weaker section (EWS) candidates, 1,858 for Other Backward Class (OBC), 703 for Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 1,204 for Scheduled Caste (SC) aspirants.
SSC had declared the result of the Tier-1 exam on July 4. As per the result, a total of 1,56,387 candidates cleared the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam. Now in the next phase for those qualifying Tier-1, the Tier-2 examination is all set to be held on August 8 and August 10 in two shifts.
“On August 8, paper-1 and paper-2 exam will be held that is mandatory for all candidates while paper-3 will be held on August 10 for shortlisted candidates vying for the post of junior statistical officer from 10am to 12am and paper-4 from 2pm to 4pm for those vying for the posts of assistant accounts officer. These exams will be conducted in computer-based mode,” said SSC central region’s regional director Rahul Sachan. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar which comes under SSC, Prayagraj-based central zone headquarters. Admit card of the candidates will be soon available on SSC’s official website— ssc-cr.org . “This CGL Tier-2 exam will be followed by the Combined Graduate Level (Tier 3) exam that is scheduled to be held on August 21, 2022. The CGL (Tier 3) exam is to be held in pen and paper mode,” he added.
According to the vacancies released by SSC that are to be filled through CGLE-2021, the maximum number of 1,138 posts out of the total 7,686 posts are of tax assistant in
Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). After this, 9,89 posts are of auditors in the Controller General of Defence Accounts. Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs will recruit 824 candidates for the posts of inspector (central excise) while 728 posts of statistical investigator grade II will be filled in the office of Registrar General of India.
