Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:55AM

Lexus Granito(up 4.95%), KIOCL(up 1.01%), Coal India(up 0.96%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.55%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.38%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.22%) and Ashapura Minechem(up 0.18%) were among the top gainers.

MOIL(down 1.27%), 20 Microns(down 1.04%), Dvpt Corporation(down 0.38%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.24%) and Pokarna(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 60.3 points up at 16544.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 226.9 points at 55495.39 at around 10:55AM.

Larsen & Toubro(up 3.41%), Grasim Industries(up 2.17%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.68%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.5%), Cipla(up 1.34%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.14%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.03%), State Bank of India(up 1.01%), IndusInd Bank(up 0.99%) and Coal India(up 0.96%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv(down 1.56%), UPL Ltd(down 1.51%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.45%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.28%), Enterprises(down 1.23%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.98%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.92%), JSW Steel(down 0.46%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.38%) and Reliance Industries(down 0.34%) were trading in the red.
