Jaipur: Scaling up Covid-19 vaccination in the city, the health department is chalking out plans to organise vaccination camps in schools.
“The camps will be organized in government and private schools as well. We have also instructed the schools to follow guidelines on reopening the schools during
Covid pandemic. Since vaccination of children, who are eligible for vaccination, plays an important role in providing safety against coronavirus, we are encouraging children to take their due doses,” said Dr Narottam Sharma, chief medical health officer, Jaipur-I.
District collector Prakash Rajpurohit has also directed the local health department officials to organize Covid vaccination camps in the city for increasing vaccination coverage among adolescents. Along with this, vaccination camps should also be organized at the Panchayat level. The health department officials said that including Jaipur, 21 lakh children in 12-14 age categories have received the first dose but only 11 lakh have received the second dose.
