Himanta Biswa Sarma: What’s wrong with hoisting Tricolour for 2 extra days

Amid the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ national campaign that was announced by the Government to encourage people to hoist the Tricolour for 3 days to celebrate the 75th Independence Day of India, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on July 26 in Delhi, raised questions against the controversy and said that there is nothing wrong in hoisting the flag for 2 more days. “Every citizen of the country hoists the flag and this is not a new thing. The Prime Minister has requested that every year you hoist the flag for only one day, but this time (in Amrit Mahotsav) you hoist the flag for three days. What's the point of politics in this?” the CM said.
