Red Cross to conduct two-day workshop
Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch and Mangalore University Youth Red Cross will jointly organize a two-day workshop for Youth Red Cross Programme Officers from Thursday.

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V will inaugurate the event. Mangalore University registrar Kishore Kumar C K will preside over the function. Indian Red Cross Society district chairman Shantharama Shetty, University College Mangaluru principal Anasuya Rai, YRC Syllabus Committee President Prabhakara Sharma and NSS and YRC retired advisor Dr H S Suresh will be the guests.

In the two-day event, sessions will be held on ‘Understanding Youth’(Dr Suresh H S), ‘Dynamics of leadership’ (Mithun Bhat Kakunje), ‘Communication Skills’ (Dr Gananatha Ekkar), ‘Management of YRC in colleges with new software (Dr Ganapathi Gowda), ‘Importance of organ donation’ (Dr Sachidananda Rai), ‘Understanding Volunteerism’ (Dr Suresh H S), ‘Red Cross’ (Dilip C S) and on ‘First Aid’ (Nithya Shree B V).
