Choppers keep hawk's eye on Kanwar Yatra routes: Uttar Pradesh cops

LUCKNOW: UP Police has started using choppers to maintain vigilance on the routes of Kanwar Yatra, which is being held after two years of Covid pandemic, and to shower petals on the kanwariyas.
ADG, law and order, Prashant Kumar, said, "Mainly three routes will be covered by the choppers, which include the Meerut-Saharanpur-Baghpat route, Ayodhya to Basti & Prayagraj to Varanasi routes."
Kumar said drones are also in use to check the routes taken by kanwariyas and cops on duty are also using body-worn cameras.
