Haryana: Member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested

GURUGRAM: The Special Task Force (STF) unit of Sonipat arrested a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from Bahadurgarh on Saturday night. Praveen Kumar alias P worked on the instructions of notorious gangster Goldie Brar and had a reward of Rs 5, 000 on his head.
Kumar had attempted to carry out a deadly attack on Naveen alias Bali of the Neeraj Bawana gang in the Civil hospital of Bahadurgarh. However, the attempt was foiled by the police. The STF recovered two illegal pistols, eight rounds and one AK-47 from his possession.
According to the police, Kumar under the direction of Brar had collaborated with other infamous criminals — Sagar Rana and Bunty Deshalpur — to kill Naveen, who was on police remand and had been taken to the hospital by the cops. While Rana is currently lodged in jail, Deshalpur is still absconding. Kumar came in touch with Rana in jail while serving punishment for illegal arms and the NDPS Act case.
Kumar is also accused of providing weapons on the direction of Brar.. “We received a tip-off last night following which we formed a team and launched a raid for illegal arms where he was arrested. He had been wanted in a case for which he has been absconding for the past 2-3 months,” said DSP STF (Sonipat), Sandeep Dhankar.
