Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Monday at 10:14AM

Bannari Amman Sugars(up 2.30%) and EID Parry(up 1.64%) were among the top gainers.

Mawana Sugars(down 5.00%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 3.88%), Rana Sugars(down 3.13%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 2.82%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 2.38%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 2.37%), & Industries(down 2.16%), AVADHSUGAR(down 2.07%), & Chemicals(down 2.02%) and Shree Renuka Sugars(down 1.91%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 104.7 points down at 16614.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 378.65 points at 55693.58 at around 10:14AM.

Enterprises(up 1.92%), Tata Steel(up 1.42%), UPL Ltd(up 1.21%), Britannia Industries(up 1.02%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.88%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.75%), ICICI Bank(up 0.74%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.49%), Wipro(up 0.49%) and Hindalco Industries(up 0.46%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Reliance Industries(down 3.52%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.15%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.88%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.33%), Grasim Industries(down 1.27%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.14%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.12%), Eicher Motors(down 1.08%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.08%) and Coal India(down 0.99%) were trading in the red.
