Girls’ CISCE XII pass percentage a tad higher than that of boys

NEW DELHI/ LUCKNOW: A total of 96,940 students—52. 76% boys and 47. 24% girls—from 1,228 schools wrote the CISCE Class XII exam. The pass percentage for girls (99. 52) is marginally higher than that of boys (99. 26), officials said, while the overall pass percentage was 99. 38. The northern region has the best pass percentage (99. 43), followed by the eastern region with 99. 18.
Out of seven UP toppers, five are from Lucknow— Aakash Srivastava from CMS (Gomtinagar), Aditya Vishnu Jhiwania and Faheem Ahmed from CMS (Rajajipuram), Simran Singh from CMS (Aliganj), and AkshatA
garwal from Seth MR Jaipuria School. Prabkirat Singh from The Chintels School, Kanpur, and Ananya Agarwal from Girls’ High School and College, Prayagraj, also secured first rank.
Aakash Srivastava said he checked and re-checked his result as he couldn’t believe he was among the national toppers. “My aim is to pursue a course in computer science engineering from IIT-Kanpur,” he said.
Aditya Vishnu Jhiwania, who wants to become a computer engineer, said: “To become a national topper, one has to study 8-10 hours daily. ” Simran Singh, who aspires to be a civil servant, said: “One should be consistent and should not be in the habit of studying more a month before an examination, or giving more time to some subjects and less to others. ”
For the first time in the history of the board, the CISCE conducted two examinations in a single year. While semester one examinations were held in November-December, 2021, the second semester exams were conducted in April-May, 2022, for both Class X and Class XII.
UP topper Faheem Ahmed, who aspires to become a civil servant, firmly believes classroom lectures help ed him scorewell. In Gurugram, it’s double joy for Anandita Misra and his twin brother Aditya as they bagged the top two slots.
Anandita scored 399 out of 400 in science and Aditya was one mark behind her.
