Noida logs 69 new Covid cases; Ghaziabad reports 17

NOIDA: Gautam Budh Nagar on Sunday added 69 fresh Covid cases, taking the active cases to 382. Neighbouring Ghaziabad reported 17 new cases, taking the number of active cases to 188. Four of these patients arecurrently admitted in hospitals.
Dr Manoj Kushwaha, district surveillance officer, GB Nagar said, “The district has 14 patients undergoing treatment at private hospitals, while none of the patients are at the Noida Covid Hospital.” The Covid hospital has shifted to the Community Health Centre in Bhangel from Sector 39 in Noida.
In Ghaziabad, over 4,400 samples were tested on Sunday. The positivity rate is now at 0.49%.
The district health officials in Ghaziabad said the Covid cases have been under 50 per day for more than 10 days now and the decline will continue further.
The vaccination data shows that in Gautam Budh Nagar, 1,183 doses of the Covid vaccine were administered on Sunday, Ghaziabad vaccinated 6,597 people across all age groups the same day.
In GB Nagar, 1.14 lakh doses have been administered in the 12-14 years age group, while 1.81 lakh doses have been administered in the 15-17 group.
In Ghaziabad, 3.16 lakh doses of the vaccine were given to people in the 12-14 age group, while 4.82 lakh people in the 15-17 years age group also got jabbed.
