CHENNAI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of 5 lakh to those who share genuine information about the whereabouts of five absconding accused in the murder case of Ramalingam in Thanjavur.
Ramalingam was murdered in 2019 after he objected to preaching by some Muslim clerics. A case was registered against 18 suspects. While 12 accused were already arrested in connection with the murder, NIA sleuths arrested a key conspirator, Rahman Sadiq (41) last year, after he along with five others were declared proclaimed offenders by NIA court.
