ISC results: 4 Prayagraj girls among pan-India toppers

Prayagraj: In a major breakthrough, four students from city- based Girl’s High School & College, Allahabad bagged the top spot nationally in the ISC results, announced on Sunday. Ananya Agarwal from Girl’s High School and College, Allahabad is among 18 students across the nation who bagged the all-India first rank among class 12thstudents by scoring 99.75%.
Similarly, Shreya Srivastava and Tavishi Srivastava from Girl’s High School & College, Allahabad were among 57 students ranked second nationally by scoring 99.50%. Moreover, Vanshika Sharma from Girl’s High school & College, Allahabad also secured all India third rank with score of 99.25 %.
Interestingly, all the four girls who bagged top spot nationally from the city are from Girl’s High School & College, Allahabad. Besides, as many as 31 students from the state figured in the top 3 national rank holders list. While seven bagged the first place, and 12 students each bagged second and third rank respectively. City topper Ananya Agarwal, who also bagged first rank among 18 students nationally in class 12th, told TOI, “ I have planned to pursue my further studies from NTU ( Nanyang Technological University) Singapore and want to become a computer engineer (B.Tech degree) ”. She further added, “ I focussed on my studies sincerely but there were no fixed study hours”. Second rank holder, Shreya Srivastava told TOI, “With the blessings and guidance of my parents and principal\ teachers, I managed to secure a pan india rank in the exams. I focused on self-study (seven hours in a day) and want to become a software engineer”. Similarly, second rank holder Tavishi Srivastava also aims to become software engineer. She used to study about six to eight hours in a day to achieve her goal. She said “ I am preparing for JEE mains and advanced exams”. Moreover, third rank holder Vanshika Sharma said, “My dedication and devotion towards studies has brought laurels for parents and school”. She claims “ am preparing for JEE mains and advanced and wants to become engineer”. Vanshika also takes interest in playing flute.
