The high level committee comprised of superintendent of police (city), additional district magistrate, chief fire officer, additional LR(legal remembrancer) Prayagraj and deputy director electrical safety, to find out the factors responsible behind massive fire at the AG building. Scores of files were gutted in the fire. The fire broke out on sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth floors of advocate general building on Sunday last and it took more than 11 hours to control it.
Though senior police and administrative officials are tight-lipped over the probe report, insiders told TOI that the probe report is of more than 100 pages and statements of senior officials and employees of various departments like Advocate General office staff, fire department, police, PWD, CNDS and others were recorded. The report has also exposed the loopholes in fight fighting measures. While no casualty was reported in the fire incident, about half a dozen firemen were injured during the evacuation process. A total of 18 fire tenders were pressed in to douse the fire.
