PATNA: The state on Saturday recorded 321 new Covid-19 cases against 1,19,733 samples tested. The virus claimed lives of two more people in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s overall
Covid toll has gone up to 12,279.
While one of the deceased had chronic kidney disease (CKD), another had pneumonia and died due to cardiorespiratory failure. Altogether 64 Covid patients were undergoing treatment at different health facilities on Saturday, including 45 at dedicated Covid hospitals, 18 at private hospitals and one at a Covid care centre.
As per the health department, of 321 cases reported on Saturday, Patna accounted for 122, followed by Bhagalpur (30), Supaul (24), Araria (22), Muzaffarpur (18), Nalanda (16), Munger (11), Kishanganj (11) and Purnia (10). Altogether 250 people recovered from the virus in the state in the last 24 hours.
The number of active Covid cases in the state stood at 2,322 on Saturday. Patna had the maximum active cases at 1,160, followed by Bhagalpur (127), Supaul (126), Muzaffarpur (97), Gaya (65), Munger (59) and Kishanganj (50).
Meanwhile, over 14.15 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the state so far, including over 7.19 crore first dose, 6.34 crore second dose and nearly 61 lakh precautionary dose.
