THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have served notices on the two Youth Congress activists, who were allegedly assaulted by LDF convener E P Jayarajan inside an aircraft when they raised slogans against the chief minister. They have been asked to give their statement in the case registered against Jayarajan based on court’s directive.
Valiyathura police have served notices on Furseen Majeed and R K Naveenkumar to appear before the station officer on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, to give their statements.
Though a non-bailable case was registered against Jayarajan, gunman to CM
Anil Kumar and personal assistant Suneesh V M slapping charges of attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy, police are yet to act against them.
The first-class judicial magistrate ordered to register a case against Jayarajan based on the petition filed by the two Youth Congress activists who are out on bail after being arrested for staging a protest against the CM in the plane.
