GUWAHATI: Dimasa film ‘Semkhor’ directed by actress Aimee Baruah and Assamese film ‘Bridge” directed by Kripal Kalita were declared as best feature films in languages category by the jury for the 68th National Film Awards on Friday. ‘Semkhor’ also has been honoured.
Among non-feature films, director Khanjan Kishore Nath’s Kachichinithu (The Boy with a Gun) in Karbi language has been adjudged as ‘Best Short Fiction Film’ while director Dip Bhuyan’s ‘Manah Aru Manuh (Manas and People) has been adjudged as ‘Best Environment Film’. Film Division’s ‘Pabung Syam’ in Manipuri language directed by Haobam Paban has been declared as the best ‘Biographical Film’.
