“The meeting assumes highest importance and was planned long ago. We have been giving education to citizens on the various beneficiary-oriented schemes under the Swayampurna Goem. We will now tell them of the 176 central government schemes that are beneficial to the public. On Saturday, the Swayampurna mitras will be briefed of 15 such schemes,” said Vijay B Saxena, director of planning, statistics and evaluation, who is also the nodal officer of Swayampurna Goem.
He further said that the activities of the Swayampurna mitras is monitored via various WhatsApp groups of each taluka to ensure that the activities are carried out seamlessly.
“For bringing about maximum transparency, the culture of the work is taken care of by us. We are able to monitor which Swayampurna mitra is in which place at which village at what time by asking them to share their live location with us,” the officer said.
