India Post parcel tracking and grievance redressal services will not be available for these days

India Post customers can submit grievances and status updates. The India Post portal will not, however, offer tracking or grievance redressal services due to the scheduled upgrade activity.

India Post customers can lodge complaints and status updates through its website. However, due to the scheduled upgradation activity, tracking and grievance redressal services will not be available on the India Post portal. The upgradation activity is scheduled from 21-00 Hrs on 23-07-2022 till 06-00 Hrs on 25-07-2022.

According to the India Post website, “Please be advised that there will be a scheduled upgradation activity from 21-00 Hrs on 23-07-2022 till 06-00 Hrs on 25-07-2022. During this time, Tracking and Grievance Redressal services will not be available through India Post portal. We apologize for any inconvenience.”


How to lodge a complaint in India Post

Step 1: Visit India Post website home page
Step 2: Click on Help & Support > Help & Support > Customer Complaints
Step 3: Click on ‘Register a Complaint
Step 4: Select the category (Financial services, Insurance, Mail services and others) from dropdown
Step 5: Enter the details required and click submit.

Make sure to note Complaint Number generated after submission of the form.


How to track a lodged complaint in India Post

Step 1: Visit India Post website home page
Step 2: Click on Tools & Support > Help & Support > Customer Complaints > Track Complaint Status
Step 3: Enter your Complaint Number and captcha code and click on search option to display your status of complaint
If complainants fail to get internal redress, DPG (https://dpg.gov.in) can be approached for redress of grievance.

Initial Level for lodging Complaints

If the complaint is still not settled, the complainant may approach the Chief Postmaster General of the respective Circle. If the complainant is dissatisfied with the action taken, he / she may approach the following Officers in the Postal Directorate, Dak Bhavan, New Delhi-110001 according to the nature of complaint, for example –
1) Complaints concerning Savings Bank or Savings Certificates or claims relating thereto.
Deputy Director General (PG & QA), Dak Bhavan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi— 110001. And ddgpgq@indiapost.gov.in 011-23096087 (Tel), 23353883(Fax).

2) All type of complaints concerning Postal Life Insurance or Rural Postal Life Insurance.
