The Centre's Ayushman Bharat Health Scheme has now registered close to 23 crore beneficiaries, according to the Minister of State for Health.
In a written reply to Lok Sabha, on Friday, MoS Health Bharati Pravin Pawar said that 23 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers have been created so far.
ABHA's are 14-digit health IDs that can be generated for all age groups with the aim to create a digital health ecosystem in India.
Andhra Pradesh generated the highest with 3.21 crore ABHAs, followed by Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
"Till July 15, 2022, a total of 22,97,64,327 ABHA numbers have been created. ABHA number can be populated across existing digital health interventions to create longitudinal electronic health record (EHR) of the citizen," Pawar said.
