Uttar Pradesh: 9 teachers terminated from service, FIR against 8 for getting job on fake certificates

VARANASI: The services of nine government teachers have been terminated while FIR has been lodged against eight of them for furnishing fake certificates to get the job.
The STF identified 10 teachers who provided fake certificates and are working in different schools of Azamgarh district. The director general of Basic Education had sent a list of these fake teachers to the basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) along with instructions to register an FIR against them.
“After the investigation, the services of nine teachers have been terminated, while FIR has been lodged against eight teachers. Since one of them moved the court and the matter is sub judice, the FIR has not been lodged against him and the investigation against one of the fake teachers is going on after the completion of which action will be taken against him,” said the BSA, Atul Singh.
The director general of school education Vijay Kiran Anand had issued a letter for lodging FIR against the suspected teachers identified by the STF. The list contained the names of ten teachers —Nand Lal of junior high school at Jameen Dasawan Block Resource Center Atraulia, Neha Shukla of primary school, Sihi Block Sathiyanv, Pramod Kumar Singh of primary school Pichora, Raja Ram Sahay of primary school, Chhiribrahman, Ajit Kumar Yadav of Govind Pandey Composite School Fadgudia Powai, Dheeraj Singh Kashyap of the primary school Gomadih Thekma, Avinash Prajapati of the primary school, Bhatpurwa Pathkauli Atraulia, Rajesh Kumar Choubey of the primary school Rajapatti Ahraula and Ashutosh Singh of the primary school, Narayanpur South Development Block Tarwan.
The BSA said that the STF had submitted the list of teachers, who got the job on the basis of fake educational records. Out of these, service of nine teachers has been terminated, and the FIR has been lodged against eight teachers, while the case of one teacher is under consideration in the court and investigation against one is going on.
These fake 10 teachers were working in different block areas of the district, he said, adding the recovery of their salary they recieved during their service period will also be done.
