The Maharashtra government has lifted the stay on the construction of the Metro 3 car shed at Aarey in Mumbai's Goregaon, said former chief minister Devendra.
Fadnavis and those supporting the project said the car shed will occupy only a small portion of Aarey and that the project will help bring down pollution.
The previous Thackeray government had not let the project take off.
