Mysuru: MP Pratap Simha on Thursday said chief minister Basavaraja Bommai showed slight anger towards him due to work pressure while he was submitting a letter on a drinking water project for Periyapatna.
He said the incident is not an insult to him as he was following up on development works. “I have great respect for the CM and he is like my elder brother,” he told reporters. After the high-level meeting on Dasara in Bengaluru, CM Bommai snubbed Simha while he was trying to take a photo of documents that he had submitted to the CM. This incident was caught on camera and went viral on social media.
“I submitted a letter on this irrigation project. The CM wrote notes on the letter to place it before the cabinet. To follow up the file’s movement, I wanted to take a photo. At that time, CM got a bit angry,” he said.
“The CM has released money for all the projects that I have proposed including the expansion of the Mysuru Airport. I am the people’s representative. I will get work done by all ways,” he said.
Simha said that Congress’s protest against Sonia Gandhi’s enquiry by ED has exposed the party further. People will not show sympathy for those who engaged in corruption, he said.
