Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.06% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:09AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

Cipla(up 0.51 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.5 per cent), Natco Pharma(up 0.5 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 0.35 per cent) and Laurus(up 0.32 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 1.62 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 1.06 per cent), Granules India(down 0.96 per cent), Lupin(down 0.78 per cent) and Abbott India(down 0.68 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.06 per cent at 12644.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 32.8 points at 16638.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 131.23 points at 55813.18.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of , , , GSFC and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , Omaxe, , . and SKP Bearing Industries Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Unitech, MIC Electronics and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
