MLAs across parties bat for solar power

Porvorim: MLAs suggested that the government set an example by setting up rooftop solar plants on all government buildings. Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai said the state government is very slow in disbursing its share of the solar subsidy. Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao said the department won’t require the Tamnar power project if it seriously looks into renewable energy sources. Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza suggested that the government use new hybrid solar streetlight instead of LED ones. tnn
