Three injured after house collapses in old city

Vadodara: An old house located in Yakutpura area of the city came crashing down early on Wednesday morning. Three persons suffered injuries in the incident and were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
At about 5 am, when the family was asleep, a portion of the house gave away.
Seventy-five-year-old Mushtaq Rangrez was sleeping on the first floor of the house with his wife and two teenagers. After the loud noise of the crash, neighbours rushed for help and fire officials too were alerted.
The fire brigade removed the debris and rescued the family. Mushtaq, his wife Subrabibi and one more person suffered minor injuries.
The old city is home to many dilapidated houses that are in precarious condition.
