Karma Energy(up 3.19%), Orient Green Power Company(up 3.16%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.33%), JSW Energy(up 1.96%), Jyoti Structures(up 1.24%), DPSC(up 1.23%), Energy Development Company(up 0.90%), KPI Green Energy(up 0.87%), Inox wind(up 0.86%) and Suzlon Energy(up 0.76%) stood among the top gainers.
Inox Wind Energy(down 3.61%), Hitachi Energy India(down 3.50%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 3.37%), RTNPOWER(down 2.50%), Torrent Power(down 2.24%), NHPC(down 1.33%), Adani Power(down 1.18%), ADANIGREEN(down 1.17%), PIGL(down 1.07%) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 0.78%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 180.3 points up at 16520.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 629.91 points at 55397.53.
Tech Mahindra(up 3.75%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.64%), HCL Technologies(up 3.11%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.95%), Reliance Industries(up 2.7%), Enterprises(up 2.24%), Cipla(up 2.17%), State Bank of India(up 2.14%), Infosys(up 2.1%) and Wipro(up 1.59%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 2.0%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.74%), Eicher Motors(down 1.06%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.89%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.73%), Asian Paints(down 0.42%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.39%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.36%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.33%) and Divis Laboratories(down 0.31%) closed in the red.
