Mysuru police detain two in temple burglary case

MYSURU: Mysuru district police have detained two persons suspected to be connected to a burglary in the Tripura Sundari Temple on July 17.
A search is on to arrest more accomplices and recover the stolen jewellery, police sources said on Tuesday.
T Narsipur police said the officials of the Tripura Sundari Temple in Muguru have claimed about 400 grams of gold and Rs 1.25 lakh cash from hundis were taken.
Sources said that soon after the suspects were detained, they were taken to Chamarajanagar where some of the booty was dumped behind shrubs.
The gang members had pitched a tent near the temple to do a recce of the property before burgling, the sources said.
