NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, GEE Ltd(19.94%), RMC Switchgears(19.89%), DRA Consultants(19.79%), Bharat Bhushan(19.79%), (19.7%), Simplex Casting(19.57%), Orient Beverage(19.16%), Omaxe(17.57%), Sandur Manganese(17.47%) and Manorama Ind(15.99%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 246.47 points up at 54767.62, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 62.05 points up at 16340.55.
In the Nifty50 index, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as , , , Ltd. and Steel Cast hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , , and Silver Pearl Hospitality & Luxury Spaces Ltd. touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
