Does the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend wearing a mask indoors in your area?
Under the CDC's new guidance, which was issued in February and relies less heavily on Covid cases and transmission as a gauge, most counties don't need indoor masking. As of March 22, just two percent of U.S. counties, fall under the masking guidance.

The guidelines are determined by the proportion of inpatient room beds occupied by Covid patients, the number of new Covid hospitalizations per 100,000 people, and the number of new cases per 100,000 people.
