Leopard kills infant girl

Rajkot: A leopard mauled to death a one-year-old girl in Jira village of Amreli’s Dhari taluka late on Sunday night.
The girl, identified as Gaga Vasunia, was sleeping in an open farm with her parents, who work as agriculture labourers. The leopard dragged her away into the nearby forested area and killed her, said officials. Her parents realized about the incident only on Monday morning and informed the forest officials.
The forest department team found the pugmark of a leopard and dragging marks at the site. When they followed the pugmarks, they found the half-eaten body of the girl. tnn
