HYDERABAD: Balancing studies with professional golf wasn’t easy for 15-year-old, Pihoo Chauhan. Yet, she persevered as managed to score a high 88.8% marks in the ICSE exams. A student of Future Kid’s School Pihoo said that she had to prepare for her boards, which were in April, while also training for her golf tournament for south zone, held in June.
“Though it was tough, I am happy that my hard work has paid off,” she said. Apart from an impressive academic report card, Pihoo also stood first in the golf tournament.
She is currently training at an academy in Kolar, Karnataka and hopes to join the national team selections that will be held in September.
“I spent 60% of my time in my academy at Kolur and the rest 40% at home. Even though juggling professional golf and full-time school is tough, online education helped me do it. Also, the fact that my school supported me and conducted special zoom classes for me outside school hours, if I had to go for golf practice that day, benefitted me tremendously,” Pihoo added
Now, she plans to take up a combination of maths, economics, psychology and arts
