Money laundering case: Delhi Court extends former NSE chief Chitra Ramakrishna's remand by 4 days

Few days ago, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had registered a fresh money laundering case in the said matter against former NSE chiefs Chitra Ramkrishna and Ravi Narain.

The Delhi Court on Monday extended former NSE chief Chitra Ramakrishna's remand by four days in a money laundering case involving alleged phone tapping and snooping of employees of the stock exchange, reported ANI.

CBI had registered a third FIR against ex Mumbai police commissioner, Sanjay Pandey, and former NSE chiefs Chitra Ramkrishna and Ravi Narain.


According to sources despite iSec Services, a firm linked to Pandey not having the expertise to audit the brokers asked by NSE, it subcontracted it to small time audit firms or CAs and paid them around Rs 5,000 each to carry out the audits.

Pandey’s firm was paid Rs 12.5 crore in all by NSE to audit the bourse. This includes Rs4.45 crores paid for intersecting the calls of its employees on the pretext of carrying a cyber audit.

Delhi court on Thursday had sent her to a four-day custodial interrogation in the case.
