Tamil Nadu: Home Secretary, DGP meet police personnel injured in Kallakurichi violence

Tamil Nadu DGP C Sylendra Babu and state's Home Secretary Phanindra Reddy along with other officials met the police personnel at a hospital who were injured during the violence in Kallakurichi district on July 17. Violence broke out in Kallakurichi as protesters set ablaze buses and school property demanding justice for a 17-year-old female student. Three were arrested over the death and for failing to maintain safety at the school hostel.
