NEW DELHI: With two days to go for the presidential polls, NDA’s nominee Droupadi Murmu received a major moral boost on Saturday with Prakash Ambedkar, grandson of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, extending his support to her and urging opposition candidate
Yashwant Sinha to withdraw his candidature.
Sinha got support from Aam Aadmi Party, which worded its endorsement carefully, saying, “We duly acknowledge and respect NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu’s candidature but PAC has deemed it fit to support the opposition candidate.” Calling Trinamool Congress “anti-tribal” for backing Sinha, BJP has put up more than 50,000 posters across the tribal-dominated districts of
West Bengal.
