Lakhimpur Kheri case: Allahabad high court reserves verdict on bail plea of Ashish Mishra

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad high court on Friday reserved its order on the bail plea of Union minister of state for home Ajay Mishra alias Teni's son Ashish Mishra after completing the hearing in connection with deaths of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri.
The bench of Justice Krishan Pahal was hearing the bail plea of Ashish.
It was argued on behalf of the accused that at the time of incident, he was not present at the place of occurrence.
The accused's counsel added that 197 persons gave affidavits that Ashish was present in the village and not at the site of occurrence.
