GANDHINAGAR: Amid the flood situation in Gujarat following heavy rainfall, state
BJP president C R Paatil on Thursday said that Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and Union home minister
Amit Shah are constantly monitoring the situation in the rain-battered state.
He said that IAF choppers and NDRF teams are engaged in rescue operations.
Paatil tweeted late on Thursday night, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah are constantly monitoring the condition in Gujarat.”
Paatil added that on his request, Amit Shah has arranged for two Air Force choppers and an NDRF team which will start rescue operations in the state from tomorrow (Friday) morning.
PM Modi is constantly keeping an eye on the situation in Gujarat following excessive rainfall and has also given telephonic instructions for tackling the situation, Paatil added.
Paatil further said that Amit Shah has told him that he can be contacted even at midnight in case of any emergency.
CM Bhupendra Patel has also been constantly monitoring the situation in the flood-affected areas of the state.
