350kg ganja worth 35L seized, 1 held

Thane: The Thane crime branch have seized an additional 350 kg of ganja worth Rs 35 lakh and arrested a second person in the drug haul case.The police said that the first accused Ambalal Jat was arrested with 110 kg of Ganja earlier this week and a tempo was seized in Kapurbawdi based on a tip-off that the persons would be transporting the contraband.
The officer said that the cost of the ganja seized was Rs 11 lakh.
“It was revealed during the Jat’s interrogation, that they have another huge consignment of the stocked ganja which is around 350 kg in a godown located in Bhiwandi,” said Vikas Ghodke, senior inspector of crime branch unit-5. TNN
