Man held for sodomising minor boy

Vadodara: A 33-year-old man was arrested on Friday for sexually assaulting a six-year-old boy in his neighbourhood. Praful Solanki was booked by the Bapod police late on Thursday night after the boy’s family filed a complaint against him.
The police said that Solanki lured the boy by promising him to show a pigeon’s egg. “The boy knew him so he went with Solanki to his house. The accused sodomised the boy and later allowed him to leave,” the police said. The boy, who was in shock due to the assault, went home and told his parents about the incident.
The parents immediately contacted the police and filed a complaint against Solanki. Medical examination of the boy and the accused was underway. Cops said that the accused works for a private firm. The boy’s father too works in a private firm. tnn
