100 children take joyride in Chennai metro train

CHENNAI: As many as 100 children took a joyride in a metro train from Alandur Metro to Wimco Nagar depot station and back on Saturday.
The ride was part of an initiative by Chennai Metro Rail Ltd to take school and college students to create awareness on the metro rail facility.
Saturday’s joyride was organised by CMRL in association with Turning Point Educational Trust.
CMRL has organised many such joyrides for students from government schools. Besides the train ride, the students were taken to stations and were explained about the facilities and the daily operations of the metro rail network.
