Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Friday at 11:10AM

Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.22%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.93%), KIOCL(up 0.93%) and Oriental Trimex(up 0.39%) were among the top gainers.

Dvpt Corporation(down 1.24%), Coal India(down 1.22%), Pokarna(down 0.84%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.75%), 20 Microns(down 0.70%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.35%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.34%) and MOIL(down 0.14%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 0.3 points down at 15938.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 21.36 points at 53394.79 at around 11:10AM.

TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.32%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.74%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.44%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.26%), Nestle India(up 1.02%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.92%), HDFC(up 0.91%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.9%), Asian Paints(up 0.82%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.74%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Wipro(down 2.24%), HCL Technologies(down 1.93%), Coal India(down 1.22%), Tata Steel(down 1.15%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.96%), Axis Bank(down 0.9%), ICICI Bank(down 0.85%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.75%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.74%) and JSW Steel(down 0.68%) were trading in the red.
