Premadasa, Wickremesinghe or a dark horse, who will be Sri Lanka's next President?

After the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who fled the country to Singapore, PM Ranil Wickremesinghe has been appointed the acting President. However, a new President will be elected by the members of Parliament. While the ruling Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has decided to nominate Wickremesinghe for the post, the Opposition candidate will be Sajith Premdasa. The new President will serve the remainder of Gotabaya Rajapaksa's term.
