ThinkStock PhotosNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 344.63 points up at 53760.78 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Regency Investments(down 19.80 per cent), DRA Consultants(down 15.34 per cent), VSF Projects(down 14.04 per cent), Morgan Ventures(down 13.09 per cent) and Info(down 13.09 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 110.55 points up at 16049.2.
On the BSE, , , , and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , , Ltd. and BLS Int. Services touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
