Vadodara: A 16-year-old girl has died of illness in Dabhoi taluka of Vadodara that is facing flood fury over the last two days.
Renuka Vasava was a resident of Sejpur village and she had been keeping ill for the last two days. Her family could not take her to the hospital reportedly due to the flood waters around.
On Thursday, they managed to take her to a clinic but she could not survive the journey. Her body was taken back to her village in an ambulance but that too could not reach the destination due to floodwaters on the way.
Her uncle then carried her body in his arms and she was cremated later. The girl was studying in class 10. Though there is little rain, many villages in Dabhoi remained flooded because of the swelling river waters.
The government primary health centre at Karyavarohan, though, said that the girl wasn’t well and had gone to school two days ago. She could not reach school as the roads were flooded. She returned home and later started vomiting.
After some time she fell unconscious. Her family did not call 108 emergency service and took her to a private clinic where she was declared brought dead.
