IIT Madras tops Education Ministry's India Rankings 2022

The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras has emerged as the top institution in the Union ministry of education's India Rankings 2022 of Higher Educational Institutions, according to a list released by the government on Friday.

The 2022 rankings were released by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Indian Institute of Science-Bengaluru and IIT-Bombay bagged second and third spots each.

Five out of ten best colleges in the category are from Delhi. Miranda House topping the chart. Hindu College has bagged the second rank while Presidency College in Chennai is at the third spot.

IISc Bengaluru has been named the best university, while Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia from Delhi got the second and third ranks respectively.

IIM Ahmedbad is the best management institution in the country followed by IIM Bengaluru and IIM Calcutta.

AIIMS, New Delhi, is the best medical college as per the released list. The Savitha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences in Chennai is the best dental college, as per the list.
