NIRF Ranking 2022: The National Institutional Ranking Framework has released the ranking today for the top colleges in India. The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has topped in the ranking of Engineering colleges in India. This is the third time in a row when IIT Madras has retained the best position among all. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced this year’s ranking for the National Institutional Ranking Framework which is known as NIRF or NIRF India rankings. The ranking is finalized according to their performance on several parameters that include learning and resources, research and professional practice, outreach and inclusivity, graduation outcome, and perception. The ranking is prepared based on the subject domain and the type of institute- overall, college, university, engineering, medicine, dental, pharmacy, law, etc. In medicine and pharmacy, Delhi based institutions AIIMS and Jamia Hamdard retained top position in the respective categories.Read Less

NIRF Ranking 2022: Top 3 Management institutes remain the same
IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta have retained their top 3 positions in the Management category. IIM Kozhikode has slipped one rank to 5th, while IIT Delhi climbed a rank and earned the fourth position NIRF Rankings (Management category) this year. Similarly IIM Lucknow and Indore also interchanged their positions this year as IIM Lucknow climbed a rank and IIM Indore slipped to rank 7.
Delhi University slips in NIRF rankings 2022
The Delhi University slipped by a spot to the 13th position this year in the National Institutional Ranking Framework. In the overall rankings as well, the DU's position declined to 23 from 19 last year.

NIRF 2022: IISc Bangalore best research institute
IISc Bangalore remains the best institute this year as well followed by IIT Madras at second place and IIT Delhi at third. The research category was introduced in 2021 and IISc Bangalore had secured first rank in the first year as well.
