A bust of former UP CM CB Gupta was unveiled at NPGC
LUCKNOW: Chandra Bhanu Gupta was a person who never compromised on values and principles, said litterateur Vidya Bindu Singh, while paying homage to the former chief minister on his 120th birth anniversary.
The event, held at National PG College (NPGC) on Thursday, also saw unveiling of a bust of the former CM by former MP and founder member of Motilal Memorial Society, Raja Anand Singh.
NPGC principal Devendra Kumar Singh told students that Chandra Bhanu Gupta played an important role in the freedom movement. He believed that there must be a dialogue with the public. As a leader, he worked towards mainstreaming the deprived section and spreading the light of education.
NPGC manager Ujjwal Raman Singh announced that the student who will score highest marks at graduation level would be given a gold medal and a prize of Rs 11,000 in the memory of former president of the society, Nagendra Nath.
